I'm thinking of purchasing and converting a low watt tube amp like a Fender Bassbreaker to a Fender 6G15 Reverb unit.
It's actually cheaper than purchasing a kit or buying the parts separately because the cabinet alone will run you approx $180-$225.
The problem is most of these small all tube heads aren't wide enough to fit the standard 2 Spring Tank in a 6G15.
Any suggestions on a small wider amp OR a slightly shorter tank?
Thanks.

I just ordered this amp and should be recieving it in a few days. I already own a surfybear reverb pedal so I won't be using the tank that comes with it. I saw your post and thought you may like this mod. The amp has gotten tons of great reviews, I did a lot of research before buying it.

Thanks Fintastics. I already have a few really good amps.
One is a Brown Note 22W Dumble Clone that I built after purchasing the chassis and what ever parts I didn't have. The amp sounds great, has a really nice tone circuit but no reverb.
Another is a Princeton Clone chassis that is more than 22W's that I built combining circuits from Princeton, Deluxe, and Twin.
Another is a Mid + 60's Princeton BF with beefier Power and Output x'formers and a lot of modes because it was in bad shape when I got it.
I need another Small Amp Head to use as a Donor to convert it to a Fender 6G15 Reverb Unit, hence the question about the Tanks. I don't want to rebuild an amp and get shortchanged on the tank side.

I have a short (24cm x 8.5cm) Accutronics tank that I salvaged out of an old Laney LC15 that you can have for the price of postage.

Thank you Slopoke for the generous offer! I decided to purchase a Fender '63 Reissue Reverb over the weekend. I figured by the time I purchase an amp, do a lot of work and who knows what else I'd be better off getting the reissue and doing a few simple mods.

I have a strong feeling that the Fender Reissue Reverb will sound much better than the little Accutronics tank.
