You're not gonna get burned. Ive bought stuff off people with zero feedback, negative feedback and everything in-between and never had a problem. Literally thousands of dollars worth of stuff since 2000. That is your first buy though ha? Top

That's too risky for me. If the guy is gets thrown out of his apartment, does he really give a shit if Ebay gets mad at him? We all have our limits on risk taking. You bought one some here speculated was stolen. Nothing against you, I believe you bought it before that comment was made. Once again I sincerly hope woody gets his git in a week and it's a beauty. But it went for under $900 for a reason. And a year from now someone may post that they remember someone getting an AVRI for under $900, but the backstory will be lost. I wrote the seller on Friday telling him I will send the Paypal payment on Monday(today). In his auction he clearly states winner has 3 days to pay, and makes no mention about zero feedback bidders. I got this response from him yesterday: "I am sorry you have no feedback and I required immediate payment please do not make payment. Also guitar seems to have been chipped on the bottom of guitar Thanks Joe" Flakey or what? I'm not an ebay guy. If I buy gear online, it is through forums like the FDP or TDPRI, where personal reps are on the line and the guys are usually stand-up. My wife, who does alot of ebay buying/selling, tells me I should slam the guy with negative feedback. Any advice or comments? Oh well, the search goes on... woody — Gandy Dancer Top

So technically Monday would be 4 days. Regardless the guy sounds like a douche so your probably better off. If you leave negative then he will too and then nobody will sell you anything. That sucks though, that was a sweet Jazzmaster. Top

With his recent feedback he isn't likely going to see more when he relists it now that there is a history of a sale that didn't fly... Top
WR Joined: Feb 27, 2006 Posts: 3832 netherlands	Posted on Jul 16 2007 10:03 AM techically I think you could demand he delivers the guitar, you have a binding contract. failure on your part to fulfill you obligations (pay within three days) does not dissolve the contract, merely gives him the right to postpone delivery, and he still has to deliver the guitar eventually. so theoretically you could tell him to deliver, and do him a cheque payable only after you recived the goods (doesn't ebay or paypal have that sort of function?), or start an ebay dispute. anyway, legal mumbo jumbo, not worth the effort at all. It could turn out to be all for the best, though. badash seemed to have this guy's number from the start, (and still does, I think) though we were all hoping this was on the up and up. You are right , though. There are of other deals on these guitars out there if you are patient. Now that you have your feelers out there, your next guitar will probably find you. Top
