Yet another reverb pedal to spark controversy. The brief clip has a pretty good drip and a double tap of the foot switch crashes the "tank".

Controversy is a pretty strong word. I like your opener - yet another... Wink
Dead Reverb

The demo shows a wide assortment of great sounding reverbs. They do sound lovely. Moreover, other effects such as tremolo and modulation are included in the pedal. The price of $148 is attractive
...but..
there seem to be no presets. In comparison, my Zoom G1Xon lets me set up presets with different levels of reverb (and delay, tremolo, modulation, and EQ), and I can (and do) switch among them as I perform. They also sound great.

This would be a perfect tool in the arsenal of my fantasy Walter/Wendy Carlos guitar band... especially those organ sounds.

Agreed, the lack of presets seems a shame but I guess that would be a bigger more complex pedal. I could really use this but couldn't take the time to muck around at a gig changing settings....so, I've been inspired to check out a Zoom pedal as mentioned by Squid. Like a lot of folk, I walked away from them many years ago but I guess the development in technology has made them usable. Ahhh, a trip to a gig with one pedal! Maybe.

Yes, I bring one guitar effects box to gigs. Audiences give me many compliments using Zoom G1Xon. The patches I perform with range among four different levels of spring reverb, other reverbs, multiple delays, a creamy overdrive, and a guitorgan. They sound lovely, and better than older Zooms. I customized all patches; the factory patches are not as nice.

I'm very tempted. I wish they looked a bit more fun though, there's something about the current trend for grey plastic that leaves me cold. Shallow of me, I know. Not a deal breaker of course.

I used to feel that way--until I started using the G1Xon. Zoom G1Xon patch construction is easy to learn and is easy to remember. Likewise for the G2. However operation of the Zoom A3 for acoustic guitar is awful.

Yet the Zoom A3 looks gorgeous in its gleaming chromeplated metal, with numerous metallic knobs and buttons. The G1Xon is an ugly duckling. However, unlike previous G-series Zoom boxes you can read the Zoom G1Xon in either bright sun or dim light. I could not see the patch number on the Zoom G2 because its LED disappeared in sunlight.

Niiiiiice! Not sure if I'm ready to give up my SPLASH just yet, but if per chance I were to have too much to drink one night...

Cool

Since we are talking about Zoom multi-effects pedals, I would like to throw in the Zoom MS-50G MultiStomp for consideration. The latest update gave it a '63 Spring Reverb and lots more. With its metal construction it seems tough enough for gigging and is a great "Swiss army knife" addition to any pedal board or just the one-pedal replacement for the whole pedal board. Here's a link to some comments by Jeff Senn of Crazy Aces with his thoughts on it.

Many effects on the Zoom MS-50G and Zoom G1Xon have identical names, e.g., Springs63. Because they're from the same company, they probably have the same algorithms and sounds. Probably.

Just threw this together, for the price and size I'm very impressed so far. Im feeling like its safe to unload my FRV-1.

Fantastic job Ryan, loved the vid demo and look forward to the compare w the spring verb.
I got mine today and was seeing if I could push the spring sound w my Dynobrain preamp boost. Oceans 11 takes it like a champ.

I think Ryans demo is the best one so far. My rhythm guitarist and I really like this pedal. I am going to buy one and use it for a back up to my tank, he is going to buy one and make it his main source of reverb. In my opinion it sounds more authentic than the FRV-1 pedal, and it's a lot more affordable than the Ventris. We are really impressed with the drip and the overall sound.

Cheers Ryan, seems like there's finally a pedal here with drip that doesn't chip a tooth when some dirt comes along.i play with a bit of dirt from both an amp and a pedal...the fvr-1 sometimes sounds like there's a truck driving passed the venue. Hate that. Should sell

Just wondering if the echo and tremolo settings are available with the spring reverb? Description refers to them in conjunction with hall and plate

Here it is Vs. my RI Fender unit.
