Three questions:
Why did the surfguitar101 podcast cease to exist?
Are there any current surf guitar podcasts? I couldn't find any with a general search on my ipad.
Would anyone be interested in contributing to one if it started? Mostly tunes, current events, and maybe a little history or interviews.

Danny and Adrienne needed a break I think. No one else volunteered.
Nowadays with NSSR and Fiberglass Jungle on Luxuria music, there isn't as much demand for podcasts. But don't let that stop you!

Yes, with so many new outlets for free music, we weren't getting much of a response considering all the effort. Have at it...

I'm only mildly considering it. My problem is that I use a streaming service for music. There is no 'surf' channel on it. And to find out about current bands and releases, I have to come on here, search, and then hope I can find those releases on my streaming service. It's a bit inconvenient. But you are probably right... anything that has to do with surf music seems to have minimal returns beyond the labor of love factor.

Sam, the easiest way to catch all the newest instro surf is to listen to Jonpaul's show on Luxuria. Fortunately it's archived so you don't have to catch it live.

Also, most new releases are on Bandcamp. Perhaps someone here can advise the best way to search their site.

What is the deal with luxuria? Basically archived podcasts? That would work for me, if that’s the case. I typically listen to stuff (podcasts or streaming radio station) while driving around and don’t have Time to do much searching, either on my streaming service or bandcamp.

Luxuria is an online (streaming) radio with many programs / shows.

Jonpaul is on live 2-4 pm, west coast time,
I like to listen then. But some listen to the archived show.

I like listening to the Luxuria station in general, not only Jon Paul's show. Lots of neat stuff I'd never hear anywhere else.

Here are some links I use for Bandcamp searches:
Surf Music
Surf Rock
Surf
There is always some overlap between these searches, plus a lot of stuff that I wouldn't consider "surf", but it should keep you busy for quite a while. You can also find related searches at the top of each page.
