I couldn't find a prior thread on this specific topic, so please forgive me if there is one out there somewhere.
I enjoy occasionally hearing the sound of a six-string bass guitar being played in a band. Of course, Duane Eddy, Jet Harris, and Jack Nitzsche are all pretty famous for having used a six-string bass guitar in their recordings. But, are there any songs that were popular in surf guitar music (other than Lonely Surfer) which featured the six-string bass guitar? If so, please identify the song and artist and post up a ÜTube video (if one is available) so that we can all listen in.

Not sure about their records, but Erik Foster of The Boss Martians rocks a Bass VI live, and it sounds awesome.

Not a classic by any means, but I used a Bass VI on the Mel-tones track "Villa of Mysteries" from 1997 I think.

I'm surprised the the VI doesn't have a greater following. It was basically a competitor to the Dano, which may have been useful, but was not as good an instrument as the Fender, IMHO. I'm really interested in the Duane Eddy 6 string bass that Gretsch released this year.
