After some time spent experimenting and messing around, we finally started to actually record for real. We moved into our new space in Brooklyn last summer and have been busy building it out and optimizing for recording. https://www.facebook.com/coffindagger |

I like it better than an sm57. The re10 has almost no proximity effect, so its easier to place and find the sweet spot. It excells anywhere where you'd normally use a 57. The 57 has a midrange bump in it that can make them a little honky, the re10 is a bit flatter and smoother sounding. However the sm57 is a wonderful mic nonetheless and you can't go wrong with one. I've never used an e906 so I couldnt say. https://www.facebook.com/coffindagger Last edited: Jun 02, 2018 08:01:08 |

Wow, that track in the video sounds KILLER! Totally digging the DIY approach as well (although I suspect you guys know exactly what you're doing). Looking forward to hearing more. -murph —http://www.reverbnation.com/elmiragesurf "I knew I was in trouble when the Coco-Loco tasted like water!" -- morphball |

Thanks! Wish I had written it! Actually this is going to be an album of Japanese Eleki songs, followed shortly by an album of originals. That's the plan anyway. —https://www.facebook.com/coffindagger Last edited: Jun 02, 2018 22:06:04 |

I have a 57, and while its never my first choice, I find they do come in handy if you need to cut through a dense mix. I've been mainly using a ribbon of late but looking to pick up another dynamic for guitar cabs and was considering either the e906 or the Beyer MG88. —https://www.facebook.com/thebigswelldrifters/ Last edited: Jun 03, 2018 18:58:41 |
