Permalink Norm Jones is Ill

New Topic

I've been given permission to relay the following message to everyone here. Norm Jones, AKA normj, has been diagnosed with a form of dementia. He's doing well, and feels pretty good. But he wants everyone to know why he doesn't do much writing here, or playing guitar anymore.

If you're new to SG101, and unfamiliar with Norm, you can read his posts here.

Encouraging words of friendship and support are always welcome.

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

Norm,
We miss having you around here and will say a prayer for you.

I'm bummed to hear this. I sent him a private message and hope that things improve. I wish there was more I could do.

Noel, kind of you to take the time to pass that along.
Prayer list longer again.

Sorry to hear this. Norm seemed like a genuinely good guy and was always very welcoming towards new members.

"It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea

He is one of the sites most recognizable posters. The little bit of information I have been able to read about him I could tell he was a real-deal, true-blue stand up guy.

I know he has helped me out in my own topics.

My thoughts and prays are with you and your family Norm.

Take care my friend.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. Hopefully his progression will be slow, giving him many more years of cognizant living.

CUTBACK

Prayers sent.

Sorry to hear about that Norm. All I can suggest is to remember the sunny good times and tune into JPs 'Fibreglass Jungle' show on Luxuria from time to time. Take care.
