I just listened to this after what was a long while and am struck with the idea that I HAD achieved something with this song.
The crash of the wave , the sizzle of the froth.
That's what I understood of Dick Dale. That's what I was trying to learn.

Thanks for your comment, much appreciated. This did in fact end up on my album just not this home brew mix of mine. We paid a big time pro to remix and master the album but yeah, he worked with my horrible drum sound and the process nearly brought me to tears!
I do appreciate the comment- there is so much talent on this site that it is hard to get someone to say "Well, I'll give this guy a listen. It does imply that alcohol may be involved."
