Kudos, Brian. SG101 is one of the few forums on the net that is truly a Class Act. Thank you for doing what you are doing to keep surf music alive! —Jack Booth The Mariners (1964-68, 1996-2005) |

Congrats Brian, you da man, but you know me, I gotta bring up a down side to it. Maybe we should have it be post or get booted off. I was on Bali Hi Jinks, a off shoot forum of the tiki crowd who don't like Jeff(bigtikidude) —Jeff(bigtikidude) |

Jeff, yeah, we could do with a tad more active members, but Ive noticed more and more lurkers are starting to make occasional posts. but no doubt there's a good amount there who have once checked the site, signed up but never came back. and there are probably a few who have double accounts. but then, if you look at the front page stats, there are usually way more guests checking out the site and forums than site members. Yes, a lot of people sign up and never come back, or even post. A lot of the "guests" (most of them, I'd wager) are search engine bots crawling the site. I may purge the database of people that haven't signed on in a while. But there currently isn't an easy way to do that. But still it is nice. The Yahoo Group ran for what, 5-6 years? And it only got 800-some members. This site is almost 1.5 years old. Thanks for the nice comments. Thanks to all the regulars who help make this a fun place. And thanks to WR and Danny for helping me out. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |
