The song is "The Saracen" by The Madeira. I'm not sure who is playing it. Last edited: May 19, 2017 09:36:35 |

I don't agree that it's the Saracen. It's definitely got that middle eastern vibe though. The drums sound programmed to me, I'd guess that it's a commercially produced piece that USA Today grabbed off of a library somewhere. —Danny Snyder I am now playing trumpet with Prince Buster tribute band 'Balzac' Playing keys and guitar with Combo Tezeta Formerly a guitarist in The TomorrowMen and Meshugga Beach Party Latest surf project - Now That's What I Call SURF |

I agree with all of y'all. I don't think it's the Madeira even if it sounds similar, but it's way better than most commercial backing music. I'm really curious! I just previewed all the Madeira I had and, trying to go a different route, all the Phantom Four I had. To be honest it doesn't sound like a dead ringer for any of them. I hear Ivan in the first half of the video, but not as much when you get 30 seconds in, and the production seems a little different than Madeira or Cossacks. I also disagree that the drums sound programmed, at least with the cymbals. Also sounds too modern for Omar Khorshid or anything like that. — |

I believe that song was also used during a surf/beach scene in the movie "The Beach Boys: An American Family". Its early in the movie during the scene where Dennis and Mike are on the beach and had just finished surfing and were checking out the girls. I remember the song as I too had wondered who recorded it. Not sure if that helps any. |

Help! I agree though with others, the drums and guitar tone sound like it may be a stock recording for soundtracks, ads etc. —Paul |
