Thanks Noel and Jeff : may the force be with us - oh , wrong movie , last month .. Have a great show everybody. I hope I can dance between the drops. Right now it's clear but projection is thunder storm. We shall see if that two man MADEIRA factor holds true. All the best to the CRAZY ACES, MYSTERY MEN? Every one on the SURFER JOE tour - and keeping my fingers crossed. I usually like to load in at noon or before as it takes a while to prep the venue. Today they will not be open till 3:30 pm so I have to be extra special good - but I have some volunteers from the LEI MEN , GRATEFUL SURF , AmpFibians and others . Hope to see NOEL and crew , we're gonna have a blast. Ok, just one more poster.

More reports and thanks yours to everyone . My jaw is still dropped to the floor in amazement from hearing the MYSTERY MEN? -- we have the video and audio to prove it on both the Friday and the Saturday shows. Seven bands nine performances. And John Blair came with his "A" game on Friday even though fairly ill from a near sleepless night and a bout of food poisoning. The Blair Pongracic Band was also jaw dropping amazing. And every band played their "A" game it was a great two day festival.
Dane Carter I hear took the B/P band for a plane ride ...like to hear more on that.

And now at seven in the evening of the Sunday after :

The powerful magic created for the "Raiders of the Urban Artifact" Persistence of Surf Music shows June 23-24 in Cincinnati is being carefully crated and stored away in a vast warehouse, cleverly disguised to look from the outside like a slightly run-down midwestern home. The neighbors suspect nothing.
There were several witnesses to the miraculous events of this weekend and we were unable to keep out all recording devices, so we suspect some images and video footage may be leaked to the public. The tell-tale signs of exposure include, but are not limited to: happy trance-like states, temporary hearing loss, and increased use of words or expressions like "reverb", "theremin", "amazing guitar tone", "WOW!" and "Oh my God!". There is no known cure but the symptoms may decrease with time. Or not. Please be careful.

An amazing time was had by all!

But words can't do justice to how hard Don and Beth Schott worked to have a functional stage on time on Friday, loading in during a deluge of near-Biblical proportions, and setting up while the floor flooded from overwhelmed storm drains. Amazing!

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.
