Hey! I'm new around these parts. I play drums, bass and guitar. Also learning keys. I usually make Sludgy stony metal of sorts, but was feeling the summer vibes and made this. My band is called Creeping Swarf, this is Waves of Uranium.

Nice groove there SSD. I'd like to hear what kind of melody you can put on top of that, then maybe add a B section and you'll have a cool song.

What is a b section? This is all me playing here. I am looking to learn some surf knowledge. I have listened to it a ton in the past, but never picked it apart. I read the drum pin before I recorded the drums, and am just learning those since February. Any and all advice is more than welcome.

Well SSD, you came to the right place. This forum is loaded with excellent musicians and gearheads all looking forward to helping newer musicians like yourself.
To answer your question a B section is just one of many ways to describe a new section of music, usually defined by the chord progression. For instance, if you play an "A section" that is Am - G - F - E for 16 bars, and then you switch to Dm - C - F - G for 8 bars, that would be called the B section. In certain contexts you could say verse/ chorus as well. Often people map out a song by writing A - A - B - A - B - C - A, to describe the entire structure of the song. (Those are sections, not chords or notes).

Ok, so it's a term that's new to me is all, awesome. Yeah, I'm going to be making more surf sludge, so you folks will hear more indeed. This was an audio experiment and I had a blast. I want to break some molds and make some tunes!

Sometimes the B section is known as the bridge, if the verse and chorus are the A section. It's something to break things up and make it more interesting.
Welcome to the forum. I'm pretty new around here myself. It's a friendly place.
