Thanks. Should be able to gut an old Joyo pedal for it.

Ha ha! Same pedal here! I'll give the Joyo innards to my mate to experiment with in return for drilling the brown/black switch. |

Since the Surfy Trem isn't true bypass, does anybody have a link to the proper footswitch to be used for this? |

You can buy any footswitch as long as it is latching. Momentary switches only work as long as you put your foot down. You only need 2 poles to make it work.

Thanks forcreating this new thread about the SurfyTrem. Can I just ask you to rename the thread with the proper name of the kit? SurfyBear (one word) is the reverb. Thanks ;) I have to take care of these small details... Lorenzo "Surfer Joe" Valdambrini |

Will 9 volts be enough to run this properly? Any intensity or volume loss? —The Kahuna Kings https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Kahuna-Kings/459752090818447 https://thekahunakings.bandcamp.com/releases Last edited: Apr 06, 2017 19:23:34 |

The pedal uses a battery as well as adapter but the DIY kit only has the option for adapter. Can battery power be added? If so, can wiring schematic be provided for this option? Can the trim pots be brought out to external pots? What are the values? |

The pots are included in the kit. If you solder some wires to the pots you can place them anywhere you like, but remember to keep them as short as possible. To add battery power you have to alter the power wiring a bit. I'll try to find a picture of the right schematic. Last edited: Apr 09, 2017 01:22:32 |

My surfy trem kit arrived in just a few days from overseas. I gutted and sanded my old joyo trem enclosure back to metallic. Our drummer who does all our artwork is incorporating our logo into my face plate design which he is going to print on vinyl. It took a couple hours to build. I think the kit should include a foot switch though. Luckily I found a simple switch laying around. Even if it's a few bucks more. Anyway once it was ready I found the two trem sounds very nice indeed! I was looking at the Strymon Flint and will still look for one used if the price is right but for 70.00 or so delivered the surfy trem kit is absolutely fantastic! Hats off once again to Bjorn and Lorenzo.
