Permalink Daughter's first surf video

New Topic

She's been wanting to record for YouTube for quite some time.
She's 11 years old.

Last night she was asking again, so I decided to play Surf Rider and let her work on some techniques.

I haven't played this song in forever, but it is SO fun. First verse is a little of a warmup, but after that it's smooth waters.

Horax, I've edited your post to attach the video. I hope you don't mind. In the future, click the 'share' button on your youtube video and grab the link, then insert it in our video attachment widget below. Cheers

Thanks, Danny!

Hi Horax, I really enjoyed that. Your daughter's camera work really allowed me to see your technique and gave me a few tips to help my own version of Surf Rider. Thanks for sharing!

My 12 year old daughter enjoyed the video as well. It's a song she's heard played around the house more than a few times.

thanks guys! appreciate it!

I enjoyed the video, it sounded nice!

That is great. Good job!

Lots of fun! Dad-daughter time is takeaway. Yes

What's she using for a camera? In the critique area, she might want to use something that can actually accept a very small hand-tripod just as an anchor when she's zooming. Cool stuff, though.

Are those the original pickups in your Squier or did you change them out?

Thanks ! She was just using a iPhone 7. We need a better set up.

Thanks, sounded good. iPhones do seem to do a really good job capturing room audio.
