Dear all,
For the past days we have been working hard to improve your listener experience. As of this morning we have added over 1000! tracks that have been carefully selected by Eddy Luca, Music Director Classic Surf and 1st Surf Revival. Eddy has one of the biggest collections of surf music in Europe and has been meticulously digitalising hundreds of hidden gems probably unknown to most of you.
To give you an idea... in the category Pre Surf tracks have been added by artists like Jody Reynolds, Aston Martin and The Moon Discs, Preston Epps The Metropolitans, The Shufflers, Mandrake, The Fendermen and The Statics. From the Classic Surf era European artists like The Tielman Brothers, Les Guitarres, Rene & his Alligators, The Hap-Cats, The Nu-Tones, Rhet Stoller and Burt Blanca are now part of our collection. Going to the First Surf Revival we have new tracks by The Evasions, The Nightrunners, The Piers, Beach Coma, The Wedge, The Surfin' Lungs, The Beat Poets and Lawndale. Just some random picks to give you an idea.
Our rotation has been reprogrammed to ensure plenty of those new tracks can be heard every hour so tune in now to discover a ton of new tracks on your favourite radiostation!
The coming months Jonpaul Balak, Music Director 2nd Surf Revival will be working hard on expanding our database with loads of modern surf music. Meanwhile our Program Director Niels Jansen will be (re)programming 24 different non stop shows to slowly replace the default rotation which currently plays most of the time.The shows "Nocturne", "Midnight Run", "The Agent vs The Mexican", "Cemetary Beach" and "The Good, The Bad & The Ugly" have already been relaunched a short while ago. The coming weeks shows like "Kingston A Gogo", "Surfin' USA", "Beyond the Sea", "The Lost Surfer" and "Surf Nuggets" will relaunch and we will launch some new non stop shows like "Dragstrip Night", "On Tour!", "The Top 101 Tube", "The Roots of Surf" and "NSSR Classics".
It's safe to say that a couple of months from now you will be listening to an even more versatile, exciting and better North Sea Surf Radio. We are talking about such a plethora of changes that would like to refer to it as NSSR 2.0.
This calls for a toast;
Cheers,
Niels Jansen
