Got reissue fender tank a couple months ago. Just got around to using it.vi forgot to unlock tank at practice. Still got a fair amount of reverb. Also hear springs rattling during car trips with lock on. Normal for new reissues or no?

Take the unit apart and see if the foam pad the pan pushes against is loose or too compressed or missing. You can easily improvise a replacement if need be.

Some units don't lock unless you adjust them, as Danny suggests looking for. Also, some don't lock well and others lock it down complete.

Personally, I've never locked one of my tanks on purpose. Never had a problem with them.

Yep. Foam needed adjusting. Thx.
