Just one guy playing the classics with heavy distortion, but it's pretty fun to watch. Only snippets of songs, the whole thing is 3 minutes.

As for the "If the Beach Boys Were Dark"
I wouldn't really use dark to describe anything that guy did. But the Ramones are the Beach Boys with 'distorted' guitars.
And if you really want to hear "If the Beach Boys Were Dark", you are only going to need to look at the Raveonettes Lust Lust Lust. I'm sure there are more examples across other bands, and I'd love to hear what people have to share!

I agree with all that Jake. The kings of distorted surf for me is Agent Orange. I loved them far before I officially got into surf music.

Yeah, absolutely! One of the first bands you encounter when wading into surf music.

If you like what you hear, check out Gary Hoey's 2005 release 'Monster Surf'.
I have it around here somewhere. Probably been a few years since I've listened to it, but I do have it...

Their "I Kill Spies" is terrific. When I hear it I try to remake the lyrics into "I Kill Flies" in the spirit of Renfield. Among Agent Orange's instrumentals is a brilliant "Get Smart" theme.
