Somebody on the Mermenlist yahoo group that lives in that area was talking about having gone to that show. He said that there was only about 20 people that stayed to see Slacktone after the Atomic Mosquitos played.
is that true?
if so that is sad...

i'd guess there was probably about 50 people but that included the people that worked there and members of the two opening bands.

I think Carols estimate is more accurate. Not the greatest turnout, but considering we had less than a month to put it together and publicize, and the fact that it was a Thursday night, it wasn't too bad either.
My biggest complaint is that the club didn't pay them enough (cheap bastards!!!) but that club is notorious for that. Another drawback of not having adequate time to set it up. All the good clubs were already booked.
The club owners were happy with the turnout though. Plus, it was a MUCH better night for Slacktone than the previous night at BB Kings in NYC.
I'll say this, the crowd was glued to the stage, jaws on the floor when they were playing, and I thought it was really cool that people did not leave even though their set carried on until 1:00-1:30 on a Thursday.

Slacktone played in Santa Barbara with Kelp. By the end of the evening there was me and Kelp in the audience. I felt like they were playing everything just for me. Fantastic show. Where were you BTD?

Unfortunelty I can't make all shows in Calif.
I knew about it, but there was a local show happening, and
I feel really bad, but I have seen Slacktone a boatload. So I don't
feel as bad if I miss a few.
sorry.

p.s. you gonna be at the Baja Cantina Show tomorrow?
