Dean Torrence of Jan & Dean is our guest for part 1 (or 2) of our interview on Catching A Wave radio show! We discuss his new book, "KJAN", The Laurels original of "Baby Talk", hearing The Beach Boys for the first time, "Barbara Ann" and more! We also hear tracks from Dick Dale, The Lively Ones, Link Wray, The Atlantics and Deke Dickerson with Los Straitjackets!!

Cool show! I enjoyed the Dean interview quite a bit!

"You can't tell where you're going if you don't know where you've been"

Interesting!

I enjoyed that. Any idea where that golf course is?!

I bought the book and finally had time to read it. It's entertaining and interesting. It connects some dots in history for me. The small world syndrome is apparent , again. I saw them during they're final tour in 2003. I thought Jan looked terrible. That was addressed in the book. I would recommend reading it.
