Using an old Princeton Reverb with the volume on "4". I kind of like playing at lower volumes, and in a room this size you pretty much have to.

funny you should say this. one of our local bars had live music last night and the bartender was playing it live on her FB and there was one person in the whole crowd listening. everyone else was yelling over the music. sigh..........

Funny we did an Acoustic two guitars set about a week ago here in NYC went over real good rhe place was packed and it was kinda noise with people being loud etc but they all love it much to our surprise.here is some videos of it

PR's a great amps, big tone but manageable volume, I play a '68 Princeton non-reverb in a blues environment in small clubs and works out great!, at least until the drummer gets fired up.....

Yeah, you really can only judge the success of those gigs by what you find in the tip jar. I find pushing a little of the acoustics thru the PA helps, not much volume, just enough to make the girls at the front tables shut the heck up!

Thanks, Carol. Supertones sound great, just hard to hear with all of the conversation. Love the 1966 Princeton Reverb for venues like this, it has the original Jenson gold label speaker. Puts out great tone at a low volume. Usually doesn't bother me if a lot of people don't seem to be paying attention, I don't mind being part of the background if we are getting paid and playing music that we enjoy. And there always seems to be at least a couple of people who make it a point to let you know they enjoyed the music.

Yes - very nice! - but I must be watching a diiferent clip - she seems to be paying attention for at least half of the time! In any case not sure you can guage audience reaction by the under 10s?
