Roadrunner Guitars in France. You can find the surfboard job down among the custom guitars. Looks like two or three are based on Sweptwing design.

Ha-ha! I'd like to experience one of those, too, but can't see spending that kind of cake on a guitar. Danelectros and old Yamahas are more my speed. But the OP was asking about custom builds, so Roadrunner might be of interest. Meanwhile, here's an another surf guitar alternative. We've seen an SGV-800 in this thread; I humbly submit for consideration the SGV-300. |

I'd say whatever works for the player could be considered a surf guitar. For me it depends on the mood I'm in, lately I've been playing my Gibson custom shop Les Paul. It gets the job done just as good as my Jazzmaster or Strat does. |

SX guitars have proven to be good playing and sounding guitars especially for the money. SX mania has been on for several years now among collectors. |

I had an SX "Strat" a few years ago. It sounded and played very nice, except the ends of the frets were a bit sharp. I've been thinking about trying one of the new breed to see if they've improved. I also had an SX "jazz bass" that that wasn't bad. |
