I'm sure that someone form the Nesma Yahoo group would know how to.

I got a hold of him. I don't think Frankie realizes how much beloved The Fathoms and his guitar playing are. I can't wait for the new CD!

I finally got my copy of "Fathomless." After giving it a couple of listens I still think "Overboard" is my favorite, but time a few more listens will tell. I absolutely love his drip.

Frankie has reverb to die for, for sure, but he also has this amazingly nuanced and gifted touch on the guitar AND he cranks out one killer song after the other.

Richard, for my money, I prefer Fathomless (though there are some amazing songs on Overboard, but it's inconsistent). Here's the best of Fathomless (IMHO, of course):

Fathomless - a modern surf classic
Riptide - a moody-but-powerful middle-eastern outing with amazing tenor sax
Five Fathoms Deep - see Fathomless; guitar trading-off on verses is genius
Getaway Car - supremely dynamic with melody and arrangement to die for
Incognito - spy, baby, spy!
Shadow Of A Doubt - a gorgeous ballad, a bit Shadows-influenced

I think these six songs really make this album, but all the rest are really amazing, too. (Well, Night Scene with the sax lead doesn't do that much for me.) anyway, check out those six first to get a toehold on the album, and then the brilliance of the album can be revealed to you more easily.

There should be a law about not being able to play Getaway Car while driving.

A lot of songs fall into that category. I sense a shallow end thread.

Is Fathomless for sale somewhere? I've liked the title track since running into it on Bikini World.

It's been OOP for a years now. It does pop up on ebay occasionally, or you can try gemm.com

Damn I forgot about that Brian, glad to be of service....

I see alot of used surf cds for sale here and there,
I should buy them all, and put in the for sale area huh?

Gave Fathomless it's third spin today, Ivan, don't worry...

I paid out the nose for my copy on half.com - $30 plus shipping. I watched another copy go for $40 on eBay. I've found that when it comes to out-of-print CD's that you even THINK you might want, go ahead and buy them if you can. I've put off buying stuff for years only to have it go out of print; then I wind up paying two to three times more for it.
