January Birthdays 
I got a call last from Tim Wilson (Don Wilson's son) of the Ventures inviting me to a show they're playing at the Morongo Casino near Palm Springs this evening.... Guest list/Back stage passes type deal. Then on tuesday I got a call from Don Wilson wanting to know if I had a guitar they could borrow. It seems they need a Gibson Chet Atkins solid body classical for part of the show and they can't find theirs. So I tell him I don't have one but I'll see what I can do. As luck would have it, the very next day one pops up on Craig's List in Los Angeles. So last night I took a drive to Culver City at 9PM and bought it. I called Don's cell phone and informed that I had what they needed and inquired about the time of the show. He told me that it was at 9 but they'd need the guitar for the sound check at 4 so tonight I'll be heading out to the casino for the show and the sound check. It should be a lot fun. I'll report back tomorrow with details.
