Permalink How do you get this kind of delay?

At 1:37

Also hear it in some Shadows and other old school stuff.

I've always just double picked it but think it would be cool to get it from my TC Electronics Flashback Delay pedal. Been trying but without any luck.

Here's my simple pedalboard:

guitar-->crybaby-->distortion-->tremelo(TR-2)-->Flashback Delay-->HOF Reverb-->Gomez G-Spring-->amp

Obviously don't use the HOF in this setup, crybaby on one song only.

Thanks!

I think he’s picking three times fast and the repeats of that are the tape delay you clearly hear in the intro.

The Exotic Guitar of Kahuna Kawentzmann

You can get the boy out of the Keynes era, but you can’t get the Keynes era out of the boy.

It sounds like he's just got a deep slap on and is finely picking the notes; tickling them as it were. At 1:44 (before it turns 1:45) you can hear a single pick attack and there is not much generated off that.

Lovely treatment of the song - thanks.
