Hi all,

This is Denis from The Treblemakers. I think Paulie logged in a few weeks ago to announce a "Coming Back From The Dead" show on May 23rd in Montreal, opening for Zak's main band The Alley Dukes.

Here's what our set list will look like:

Girls Just Want To Have Fun
Papa Don't Preach

and our greatest success yet: Da Da Da as our finale. Man it will be a blast!

Oh, wrong set. Here it is:

Buried With Richard

Lawnmower Drag

Great White Lunch Hour

Ali Baba

Surfari / The Grudge

Exploding Bikers From Hochelaga

The Fly

Stronger Than Dirt

The Hearse

Ebola / Countdown At Ground Zero

7 Seconds To Perfection

Squarewave

Denis

Hey Denis, it is great to have you here. We should get this added to our calendar...!

Denis,

Great to see you on the board! Do you still have that white Jaguar? I bet it will sound great on Papa Don't Preach and All Night Long!

Mel

Hey Mel,

Yep, still got the Jag, although it went through a cosmetic face lift a few years ago: Headstock is still white, but the body is now a blue/white sunburst. Far from a pro job, but it looks pretty cool.

I got myself a 64 Showman on Ebay a week ago, and I'm having a custom cab made for it by Lopo. It will have a Weber Neo 15" speaker in it. I won't use it at the show though, I want a friend of Zak's (Alexis) to have a look at it before firing it up when he comes back from vacations.

Now, I must congratulate you on that project of yours, Meshugga Beach Party. Zak played it for me two weeks ago, and I was blown away. It truly is a must have.

Denis

Nice set list. I'd love to see that...

Blue and white burst? I want to see pictures - preferrably with that Showman! Kick some derriere at the gig tomorrow night.

Bill,

Hopefully, we'll have somebody taping the show, so that we'll be able to post some clips on youtube.

The practices have been going well, so tomorrow's show should be pretty cool... and fast Very Happy

Denis

Oh man, I can just imagine Ali Baba now!

This is what I get for not logging in to SG101 for a week. The show was last night and I could have gone, but I forgot. OMG Duh

If I remember correctly, there's a convenience store called "Ali Baba" right next to Jailhouse where the Tmakers and Mel-tones used to play a lot back in the day.

So, Denis, how was the show? Any audio? Video?

Zak told me that he was going to have someone video tape it. Let's hope it happened. I can't stop thinking about this show.

Hi yall

Rocking show at Cafe Campus by The Treblemakers. Lotsa movin and groovin. The Reverb got kicked. I fired off around 15 pics and got about 4 or 5 tunes on video. I haven't checked the video so I don't know if it's worthy of You Tubing. Anyhoo here's a test of my first pic post. I'll add the rest tomorrow if this is okay.

Cool

Awesome!! Thanks!

Well that was fun!

We definitely had a blast at the show. We got a little bit worried about the number of people who would show up because public transit decided to go on strike monday. But all in all, decent number of people, and an excellent crowd.

There were a few screw-ups here and there, but nothing really major. Richard took the mic for Stronger Than Dirt, a most excellent garage performance Twisted Evil

And yes please, post more pictures if you have some more. If you don't mind, could you send them over to my hotmail address (vibroverb at hotmail dot com) also?

Sounded like it was a good time. Do it again!

I would be honoured sir.

Denis,

I sent you 3 zips of the full size shots to your hotmail account. Thanks for the great show. I'm going to the garage now to give my Lake Placid Strat a blue burst.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. Great shots by the way, the guys will be happy.

As for the blue burst, can't wait to see Mel's comment on it. This Jag was his at a certain point, and he helped me out by selling it to me for a very reasonable price when mine was stolen almost ten years ago. That Jaguar was some kind of offwhite in the beginning. It was sanded an redone in the color you now see. Pretty happy with it Very Happy
