I think we should be able to permanently delete our private messages if we want, instead of having to wait for the other party to click delete on their end as well.

So... is the concern you don't like seeing a large trash folder? Or...? —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

I don't like seeing messages in the trash folder that I have already deleted. I have been on several forums throughout the years, and they all allow me to permanently delete private messages. I am just giving you my honest feedback. I like SG101, and think you do a fantastic job of running it. I'm sure that as the owner of the site you appreciate hearing peoples feedback, whether you agree with it or not. Thanks again for all you do. —MooreLoud.com - A tribute to Dick Dale. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm in the middle of a site redesign, and after that need to do several other upgrades, so it will be a while before I consider it. After 10 years my trash folder has grown to 27 pages, but I don't even look at it anymore. To be honest I kind of wish all PM's self destructed after a set time period. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

Just checked, there are 12,495 PM's in the database... —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

I agree, I like the idea of self destructing private messages. —MooreLoud.com - A tribute to Dick Dale. EP Louder Than Life coming out soon! |
