What do you think about this band and sound?
What do you think about the songs?
Do they look cool?
Hair okay?
Trousers?

The bandname Boris Bond: There is already a Boris Bond around...
So I would suggest Boris Blond.

Twang cheers!

Yeah, I've seen 'em live 2 weeks ago and they sound excellent!
Really looking forward to their first release.
The only downside are the trousers. I hate surfbands that wear trousers!

Solid in the trad groove with mysterious attached.
Fine songs; I'd buy a CD.
Whatever.
Whatever.
Whatever; was noticing the nice matching headstock JM.

Now.... Ralf:
Have you got them to where they can do a bacon-wrapped schnitzel yet?

Also, where is "schokoladen" (club name?). Been a long time since I was there and there are clubs now that were in the east before.

Thanks for sharing. I posted on their video channel & told them to get their butts over here.
Cool

I really enjoyed that.
The first tune Mille Giselle..? That was mysterious and moody and I liked the build up.
Good stuff!

Cheers,
Jeff

Hey folks, thanks a lot for the encouragement! We appreciate it very much!

Wes, our butts are already here.
Schokoladen is a small club in the eastern part of Berlin (Mitte). It is in a house that used to be a squat back in the 90s. They have a sort of rental agreement for the whole building now and are still running the club.

Concerning schnitzel: I fundamentally disagree with the Jazzmaster method as promoted and invented by Chef Ralf. I prefer to pound my schnitzel with a yellow Yamaha SGV 300 to give it an exotic bouquet. Big Grin

Cheers,
Igor

Yes, very good new band. I also was there last saturday. I even bought the tape, even though I don't really like tapes anymore...

Yes, that is the name of the club, which definitely is my favorite venue here in Berlin (and I played there with both of my surf bands). They don't put on that much surf, but there is always great other stuff going on. The building is close to the centre of Berlin (east of the former wall) and originally was a factory for chocolate (Schokolade), hence the name, which also is a plays with the word "Laden", which as a single word can also mean store, club or bar.

The whole building was a squat for many years and always threatened to be evicted and returned to the legal owner. But a few years ago after a lot of protest and negotiations the owner finally agreed to accept an exchange with another estate. This was so far the only case in which one of these squat bars/club was saved here in Berlin (as far as I know).

Los Apollos - cinematic surf music trio (Berlin)
"Postcards from the Scrapyard" Vol. 1, 2 & 3 NOW available on various platforms!
"Chaos at the Lobster Lounge" available as LP and download on Surf Cookie Records!

Very cool music! Smile
Enjoyed your tunes right from the start of my working day.

Love your city by the way, was here on vacation in Berlin several years ago, amazing impressions.

Ah, thanks for locating that for me. I see by a map that many little clubs have popped up. So much has changed.

Yamaha, eh? Then you are also a culinary force.
Looking forward to more music!

Thanks for the added background. Enjoyed visiting a couple of friends in the east way back when, but there weren't many clubs really (and flitting about to clubs was hardly recommended at the time). If I hit the lotto it's on my list to get back there and walk around without mentally looking over my shoulder. Berlin in general was always so vibrant & the city has a special place in my heart - it sucks you in.

Thank you for heads up Simon, kas & Brian. We are working on new songs and hope to be able to record them in a reasonable quality in the course of the year.
