Emilio, you guys should all move to the Mid West USA,
Then you could be the Waves of Grain surfers.

bust down the mexican wall with surf music.

This yellow background is quite flashy, but we kept the color from the flag, hope surfers get it !

Black Ball was my favorite time, as I was a body boarder.

I know for a fact my old logo was well designed, because if not...these guys from Australia wouldn't have gone to my website, stolen it (same font and stroke and color) and named their band JETPACK.

Because what...instrumental music, even if you've been at it for over 15 years, doesn't really count?

Aaahhh... bandlogo's Big Grin
A bit of a hobby that became an obsession for me. I love noodlin' around with fonds, shades, outlines and backgrounds in photoshop. Nowadays I try to use a logo for at least a half year. One thing a logo has to do is being recognisable and that doesn't work when you change it every week ;-(

Here is our old logo, when the band was just a one/two man studioproject:
image

The new bandmembers didn't like it and yep, I too realised it was almost the same fond as the Phantom 4 used.
We went through a couple of other tries before we asked our 'fans' to choose one on facebook:

Nr 2 one by a landslide, but I liked other better.

After that we abandoned the idea of one font, one logo completely. We use different logo's and styles and even combine them, when it works out. One thing I learned in all my years as musician and booker is that strong visuals are equally important. Hey , did you expect something else from a phtoographer? I like to combine original artwork and photo's with good readable but original fonts.

Here is the one Shawn Dickinson did for us for our EP:

Amazing thread!
If I didn't know anything about surf, this would have most likely attracted me to check out the music.
What a great demonstration of how fun and eclectic our chosen genre is.
From KBK's punk and disorderly to surfing animals, from campy horror to naive futurism, I love it all.
Totally different approaches, unique designs and imagery, but all still somehow connect to an elusive cultural source. Beautiful.

Although we only have a few gigs each year in and around Southern California, our time together during the holidays performing the complete Ventures Christmas album is always a highlight. The band usually consists of: Jonpaul Balak, Matt Quilter, Marty Tippens and Duff Paulsen.

Created this drum head for the "live band" that has played for several of our Halloween parties. The actual band is The Glasgow Tiki Shakers but, for one special night, they become The Dead Ringers!

You gotta love a logo created in 5 minutes at work.

A friend did this based on my pencil sketches. Our song titles and inspirations are largely based on corruption among global elites, so I wanted to emphasize that in the logo.

I did this one week at work while my boss was out of town. Taught myself some photoshop. Tried to keep it simple and to the point. Included "RnR" in case "Surf Music" was too narrow a genre for venues to take notice.
