Permalink Altec 417-8H Series II 12" AlNiCo 8 ohm 100w Guitar Speaker in Excellent Condition $190

A beautiful, smooth-sounding, high-fidelity extended range (60-8000 Hz.) 12" speaker with high power-handling capacity. Weighs about 20 lbs., as hefty as an EVM-12L and comparable in performance. Sounds beautiful for clean reverberated guitar, no ice-pick. Talk about your hi-fi sound reinforcement!
Serial #11557, made in Buchanan Michigan, presumably in the 1970s.
No decay or damage beyond a slight indentation in the aluminum dome which does not affect the sound of the speaker.
Also available is a custom closed-back slant-front cab I bought it in, no extra charge but you'll want to pick that up. I'll ship the raw speaker but not the cab.
I also have an Altec 421, 15" 8ohm speaker I'll consider selling as well, with its cabinet (same as above, they are a thing to behold together) though I am more attached to it for surf tones.

Local Los Angeles pickup,or ship raw speakers at cost.
PM me.
