They are always at their best when playing originals, hope there is a nice mix of originals/covers. Still great when doing covers though! |

That truly is AMAZING news!!! Especially since a few years back it seemed as though there may not be any more new Surf Coasters recordings coming at all. I hope there is a fairly convenient way for us in the US to buy this CD. I suspect that Magic Carpet is a cover of the Dakotas' song (UK, '63, the band that originally did "The Cruel Sea"). Picked up a copy at Surfer Joe but haven't made it home yet to listen. They played two of the new songs live there, very good stuff. They also had a Shigeo cd that appears to be a solo effort that I bought. Probably not surf but I expect it will be good. |
