Starting this weekend North Sea Surf Radio adds four new DJ's to it's DJ team;
-
DJ Dotty (USA)
A music collector with unending passion for Surf and instro music.
-
DJ Frankie Pool Boy (USA)
Leader of Double Crown recording artists Frankie & the Pool Boys, and formerly the leader of MuSick recording artists Pollo Del Mar.
-
DJ Rev Hank (Canada)
Surf guitarist & King of the Surf Ukulele known for the Urban Surf Kings and many other projects.
-
DJ Tiki Tena (USA)
Allround loved contributor to SG101, always in search of raw, crude, revved-up rock 'n' roll with that reverb-soaked instrumental sound.
Three of these DJ's will have their own weekly show except Frankie Poolboy who will be part of The Fantastic Five and will replace Alan Taylor who will move to another show where he will join DJ Jonpaul and Mike Surf in presenting the first, the last and the only "off format show" named Crossing Borders; "A show with Guitar-based instrumental music throughout history and from around the world that utilizes some kind of echo or reverb effect on the guitar." (Eleki, Rautalanka, European Instro, Late 50s Rock Instro, Latin American 60's instro, Exotica, Spaghetti Western, Soundtrack a.o.)"
Another new show with rotating DJ's will be "The Countdown Clash". This show will be a best of show of all our countdown lists. This show will have the following rotating DJ's; Clint Beachwood, Django Deadman, Mz Siren and Phantom.
As of this Friday North Sea Surf Radio will start with two Friday night shows in Europe. These shows will rerun the same night so they will also be Friday night shows in the US.

Glad to have more female voices in the station and also the new DJs are people that know the stuff, can't wait to listen to the new shows.

Stoked! Congrats Dorthy, et.al. new DJs! Glad to see how NSSR is burgeoning with all the curatorial input! Hope it spawns a new outgrowth of young musicians embracing the surf ethos!
