So a few months back, I discovered a pretty excellent "web show" of sorts called Guitar Moves:
Guitar Moves, hosted by Matt Sweeney, is a show where the viewer gets an opportunity to sit in on a private, interesting, and hilarious conversation about guitars, music, life, and craft. During the season, Sweeney and his guests play through licks, riffs, and solos that inform their style, influence their playing, and define their sound.
There are many highlights from the first Season definitely worth checking out. Matt Sweeney seems like a super cool cat. The kind of guy you'd love to grab a beer (or three) with; he's the perfect host for this format and show. The whole series is worth the time, but the biggest highlight of the first batch (for me) is Episode 2 Blake Mills. (OMG - I went down a Blake Mills rabbit hole after seeing that episode. Dude is pretty amazing.)
Anyhow, back to the topic of this thread... I was pretty stoked to see that it appears there's a new batch of Guitar Moves Episodes being done. The first new one... Keith Richards. Killer story about his first guitar and the first song he ever learned.
Keef coulda been a Surf/Instro man!

Keef is the coolest. I love him and his music. Referring to his hands he says, "There are two sides to every story... somehow you have to get this one and this one to love each other"! Then he lights up like a kid when he talks about, "sitting around listening to records and how Jimmy Reed handled that 5 chord". "Some guys want to go into the studio and fill up the canvas". He dug Jimmy because of how simple yet hypnotic the music was. Words of wisdom from one of the crowned kings of Rock & Roll.

"and then he lights up like a kid"
I know, right!?!?
L O V E how his excitement and wonderment still radiates from him (all at the same time) for the instrument and music after all these years.
I was never really into Keith or the Stones before, but this video made me a fan wanting to hear more.
