Anyone heard of or remember this band? They were from Council Bluffs Iowa just across the river from Omaha Nebraska.
The band morphed over the years but started out as surf slingers.

The Surfin' in the Midwest comp looks like it would be ear candy. Some blurbs say The Rumbles almost made it. I met some of the guys in the band's later incarnations when I lived in Omaha and I think the Rumbles are still gigging today with at least one original member. I just of late discovered their surf roots. There are many surf bands even in Europe coming to the fore from this same era that have impressive tracks. Needs cataloging. |
