Passed away on Wednesday. Motorhead was a huge influence on me during my teenage years. They were never the same without the classic line-up

OH NO!!! that really, really sucks!!! He was such a funny guy, and quite a drummer back in the late '70s/early '80s. (I had JUST finished listening to Capricorn on my iPod (on shuffle) when I read this, like some sort of foreshadowing, weird...)

I saw the classic Motorhead around 11 or 12 times in the early 80's.
They were so cool too, very accessible to the fans. They would literally hang out for hours with the fans after the show. The only "BIG" band that did this regularly. They certainly tolerated me and my friends, and we were just annoying kids! I must be about 16 or 17 in the picture below (I'm on the right with the denim jacket, Sex Pistols shirt, and de rigueur bullet belt!)
