Usually I would leap into the drum set to get his attention. It is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. And these days we have 3 screens and a projector to get set up, along with our instruments and amps, in order to play. So we can't be waiting around for a drummer to get out of the way when it is time for us to set up. We have out set up down to a science. We can get on stage in about 15 minutes and have all of our equipment off stage in about 7-8 minutes. We played a show back in September where the drummer from the band before us started to lay out his drum cases and meticulously break down each piece. I had to actually go to the leader of the band and request that he ask his drummer to move off stage and pack up out of the way. It was the best thing I could do to avoid conflict and not keep the audience waiting 30-40 minutes for us to play. — THE KBK ... This is the last known signal. Oh the list of stupid shit I've done over the years related to playing. There's one story involving our lead singer's STRAT that I will never repeat. I think the bill for the repairs was about $180.
