What's the connection with Richie P. and The Chocolate Watchband - Expo 2000? Did he play on the original? Is this the original CW version on the cd? I wanted to work up a cover of it for our last reunion, but we didn't have the time...Great psych-garage instrumental song. —http://www.satanspilgrims.com |

The instrumentals on that CWB album are all done by Richie Polodor himself. The CWB was not involved with those tracks. -outsides- |

I heard that you might know all, -outsides-. No wonder I like it so much. Was that all orchestrated by that Ed Cobb rascal? Thanks. —http://www.satanspilgrims.com |

Just speculation here: I think the label wanted to release the album and so filled it in with Richie's instrumentals. That's just a guess, I'm not trying to start rumors. As far as knowing all...... |

re: Expo 2000 as Outsides said, the CWB did not play on the original Expo 2000 (or on Dark side of the Mushroom). But at some point a few years back (2000 - 2002?) the CWB reformed and did a tour of Spain, and they added Expo to their set. The first time they ever played it live was on Phil Dirt's show. Lead singer Dave Aguilar had taken up the Theremin so he wanted to do that song. The recording on this trib is a Dirt "Pit" recording. I think Alec Palao was the bass player for the tour, and this show. Buy Speed of Dark @ Bandcamp |

Ah, I see. Very interesting. It never even occurred to me that the instrumentals of CWB were so far from the bluesy-garage of their other songs as I listened to them. —http://www.satanspilgrims.com |

Rob from OmOm is interested, and would like to hear a CD-R of the project. I emailed him to see if there was any interest on his part, and it seems like there very well might be. I don't know how to get a hold of Mel to see if he is willing to send one to OmOm. I am also not sure about approaching Mel myself, as I don't know him as well as some others on this forum. So...let's try to get the ball rolling? Rev/USK —Canadian Surf |

I'm glad, I'd hate to see something like this that is so close to being done never see the light of day. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

yeeeeaaaaahhhhhhh thanks for doing the contacting guys. Like I have said before, I had heard about 20 of the rough mixes and I was blown away by that. The finshed project should be stellar, Depending on what bands/styles you like of course. Jeff(bigtikidude) —Jeff(bigtikidude) |

Out of curiosity, how is 'Podolor' pronounced? |

I've only ever heard it pronounced by Phil Dirt--"Poddler." Is that right? |

I've heard Paul Johnson pronounce it that way too. Poddler or Pod-o-lore —Paul |

Maybe we should put some funds together and kick start this project. I don't even remember recording "Weird Wolf" for this CD except for the socket wrench we used. Is there any interest anymore? Or is this one dead? Paul The Pyronaut |
