We first did it last year and we will be doing it again; The Halloween Top 66, the list with the 66 creepiest, spookiest and most horrifying surf instrumentals. The list will be broadcast as the grande finale of a 12 hour Halloween marathon on North Sea Surf Radio; The Haunted Shores of the North Sea. There will be an instant 12 hour rerun so nobody has to miss a thing and the entire world has the ideal soundtrack for their Halloween celebrations. Only on North Sea Surf Radio!

Please note:
- Instrumentals only, songs are not allowed (one or two lines of some spooky vocal maybe, but no actual songs).
- Only one track per artist allowed.
- Tracks released in 2015 are excluded from the Halloween Top 66.
- The order of the tracks does matter, your number 1 will receive the most points in the Top 66, your number 6 will receive the least points.

I'm sure there are a bunch of pretty obscure tunes from the 60's that we are not aware of. Working on my Halloween Special to bring those out to the full moon light.

Surf music is rich in Halloween tunes making this a tough decision. I decided to approach my vote like a mix tape for a Halloween party.

1. Los Straitjackets - “Rockula” - A perfect blend of instro-horror. This is the theme song for my Halloween party. LS just nails it!
2. Satan's Pilgrims - “Creature Feature” - B-movie soundtrack intro segueing into a bouncy surf tune that maintains a suitably horrific motif.
3. The Marketts - “Out of Limits” - a kitschy nod to surf's early adoption of pop culture horror and science fiction
4. The Fathoms - “The Haunted Shore” - THE soundtrack for reading Lovecraft. Very eerie. Cthulhu approves.
5. Messer Chups - “Cemetery Beach” - maybe I just want to watch youtube (looking at you ZombieGirl, next year's vote will be for “Insomnia of the Mummies”)
6, The Ghouls - “Voodoo Juice” - This is a great guitar tune. Other tunes by The Ghouls have more Halloween spirit, but this is the one I want to hear.
