Vintage vibrato came in today! It is the third best unit I've had the pleasure of owning. My Sherwood Green Jag has the best ever, and one of the '59 Jazzmasters had the second best. This one is really great though, next string change this needs to go onto the Pink one. I don't need my two best vibratos on my flatwound Jags.
Dude... the vintage ones... So sad that the new ones are so disappointing. Even the Mastery isn't great compared to the vintage ones. The Mastery does have the proper range of motion and is INCREDIBLY well machined but the spring isn't stiff enough for me. Stiffer than the AVRIs still. Everything on the AVRI units fit poorly.
