Selling my Tascam 424 Mark II Portastudio in excellent condition. I've been hanging onto this in the hopes of doing some basement recording, but I've accepted that's not a reality in the near future so I'm moving it on.
These seem to be experiencing a surge in popularity lately - Not only do they have a warmth and immediacy that's tough to get with digital home recorders, but the routing flexibility they bring in such a portable unit is pretty awesome. And who doesn't love real faders!
Includes the original box, manual and power supply, and I'm also throwing in a set of five TDK Pro SM-X20 high bias cassettes to get you started.
I've not tested every function of the unit, but I have used it as a pre-mixing unit lately and it performed admirably.
