Selling the “project” tiki jazzmaster junior body complete, no neck. Rutters ash body, scorched and sealed,
chancy hand carved leather over a rutters routed alum base, rutters cold rolled steel bridg w rutters saddles,
M3 of california mosrite pickups in jazzmaster covers.
This body was used for several applications, first for a set of jag pickups, then rutters made retrofit blocks
he glued in to hide the jag routes and rerouted for jazzmaster pickups. I wanted to put gold foils in so the
routes are shallower than the stock route. These Mosrites are hot output and fairly shallow so they lay
in nicely. Its a project so there are a few screws holding them in as you can see. This is not a tavo’s boutique
guitar in its fit and finish but its all boutique corker stuff. $395 shipped n paypal gift only. picture is discloser.

If it had a jazz master term, I'd be interested.

put a bigsby on it, 50% better sound and response. I have a mastery trem on my dipinto and it did bring great stabilization over the original china stock but I'll take a bigsby.

I think I could do a leather pick guard like that. Very nice work. I started doing leatherwork and making guitar straps at 13. Ouch, that was 50 years ago. This is a good idea.

you should go back to it! Chancey leather carving did it for me, he's more of the biker type but he was able to hear my ideas and make it a reality for this particular project.

Well, actually, I just retired and I stocked up heavy on supply's and expect to be making some first class custom straps at reasonable prices along with what they call "scabbards" or "bow quivers" which the symphony and jazz players tie onto their basses and put their bow in whilst they play pizzicato. This pick guard thing could also work. I also make bags and pouches for string sets. I have made straps for Dave and Ray Davies of the Kinks, Joe Pass (he wears one of mine on several you tube clips), Percy Jones &John Goodsal of Brand X, Snake and Steve Thompson of John Mayall Blues-breakers, and Micky Hart (yeah, he has a bass too) of try Greatful Dead among many others. So , I am getting back into it..though slowly. Thanks for the encouragement.

Nothing in stock right now except supply's and I am using my last batch of straps. Seems I had some straps laying around so I had to get some more guitaas for them. Heh heh. I can make one in black ... But enough sales talk..my email is under the badge if you want to talk out of this thread about it, Tavo.
