Here is my reply to Jamie's post below mine, about the mixup/cancellation/move of the show last night.

Dave Wronski from Slacktone came in from Redlands to see band
and help celebrate Kristena and Adrien's B-days.
He was a bit bummed to find out that The band wasnt going to be
playing after driving over 90 miles.
Luckily Linda from the HB surf museum had sent out a e-mail that
the Purple Orchid bar wants more surf shows. So JR of Outterwave
called and got the Number and left a message, The Manger called back
and told them to come over and play there. He was actually going
to go to the Baja Cantina for the show(small world).
I was a bit bummed you didn't show up at Purple Orchid to see the
show, and to Thank Him for helping out.

This was unforseen and even if we are kind of disappointed that we were not able to play the Baja last night, our favorite bar / restaurant to play in, what happened was beyond our's or Jamie's control. This things happen. Lucky enough we were able to move over to the Purple Orchid and do two sets. The last one being pretty much a surfguitar101 sharing affair. Dave Wronski played to his usual greatness with birthday boy Adrien on drums, then Rich the photographer took over rhythm for Mr. Moto and Squad Car. A couple of bass players took over, jeff BTD with Penetration and Jon Paul with Jaacj the Ripper and Malaguena. Pretty good evening to celebrate Tena and Adrien's birthdays.

BTW, the Purple Orchid management has invited us back over during Memorial Day Saturday. We have been planning a gig with the Lava Rats. We may go for it.

Hey Tony,
If you guys play the Purple Orchid on Sat of Memorial Day, that would make the weekend complete. The big eight band Suzy's surf stomp is going on that Sunday (5th annual!).

By the way I sent Dave from the Orchid an email a fews days ago and didn't get a response.

Glad last night worked out...

Just to jump into the fray on this one -- The Lava Rats will definitely be at the Purple Orchid on Saturday the 26th. We hope a ton of you show up. We are working round the clock to get the CD in our hands before then, at this point, it's all going to depend on the mastering...
