Permalink Band/Album Recomendations

New Topic

I have been a fan of surf music for a while. However with Surf music sadly not being readily available in music stores, other then the occasional compilation my collection of Surf albums is to be honest lacking. I have recently been purchasing albums online, oh yeah CDBaby loves me. I have also been trolling Tikitens myspace and found some excellent Bands to purchase. But I thought it was about time that i ask for recommendations from the aficionados gathered here.

What Band/Album would you recommend as a must have for a collection.
Or if you were going to loose all your CDs but 1 which would it be?

You might want to check out Phil Dirt's reviews at reverbcentral.com He favors progressive surf (IMO) but offers some valuable reviews. I also listen to Delvar surf sessions online and write down the band names of the songs I like.

But, I like nearly everyone so it is hard for me to name...
