Kostas, I definitely set up the amps and the reverb units for the drip when I used my JM, since that's the sound I used that guitar for. With the Jazzmaster I think I always used two Fender amps (Vibrasonic and Blues Deluxe) rather than a Fender and an AC-30 that I used with my Strats. And then I'd set up the reverb units appropriately, as well.
