I don't think there are blackface RI models. I retolexed my brown unit. Took one sunday afternoon and looks great.

Yeah, thats an option I guess. Looks great! Actually, I owned a black re-issue when I lived in the states. Only seen one in 5 years on German Ebay..and of course,I couldn't afford it then.
I'm not really a surf guitar player but I do like the surf,rockabilly etc, and playing some 'squad car' or 'bonanza' from time to time.
Anyway... reggae/dub guitar needs reverb too!

p.s. Thats a mighty fine collection you got there!
Whats the story with the 'Buck Owens' Moserite? [Or is it the Czech Flag?]

BeaverBottoms sells black cabinets for around $250 or so. I am thinking of getting a blonde cabinet for my brown tank. Although, Dick Dales is brown, so maybe not.

Thanks for the link, didn't know there was a Surfer Joe e-shop. But the page you sent me to is about the surfy-bear unit and booster cabs, and I didn't see any used gear link? I also tried the search window and it wasn't working. So do I have to get on their wish list?

Why don't you buy a 120V RI and swap out the power transformer? They are commercially available. Don't make it harder for yourself.

I see your problem, there are very few units for sale at the moment! The only option is to buy new.

You could drop Lorenzo at Surfer Joe a line and see if he knows anyone with one for sale.

If you're capable of swapping out a power transformer, you may as well have a go at building your own. It's not that difficult, but it takes a lot of time for your first one. Alternatively, the Surfy Bear reverb is really good value.
I'm sure one will come up, just don't dither when you see it! They are very expensive at the moment - they are not far off a HRD!

Well, just won a Peavey Valverb for 200 euro's.
That'll give me some tremolo too! Any body know anyone who makes a tweed/tolex 3 or 4 space rack in the EU? That would be cool too have the Valverb and say a 2 space rack drawer for all my cables in one rack unit!
