As some of you know, I am a fan of Noel Gallagher's songwriting to the Nth degree. When on tour he keeps a daily tour diary called Tales From the Middle of Nowhere. Once brief text messages posted by a Manager he has now learned how to use a computer and is posting a song of the day.
While not exactly surf, he chose The Lonely Surfer as his song for the day. He is know to have great love for 60s instrumentals, although this is the first I've heard reference to towards anything surf sounding(even if by name).

Must say I'm surprised! But if one of New Model Army can go off and start a surf band, I suppose anything is possible!
