I'll have to go dust off their sophomore release, Space Farm. I remember the great anticipation I had when I ordered my copy from Red Eye Records from down under, and then the let down I felt when I spun it for the first time. I still have not purchased Space Farm but will do so very soon. I saw Midnight Oil several times, they were always excellent, the most exciting live band I ever saw and they sounded better live than on record. It usually took a few listenings to develop a love for each new record. They started getting more popular after Beds Are Burning and their music softened a bit. The Break reminds me more of the early ass kicking Oils. |
