Walkin the nose here asking for comments but you don't get wet stayin on shore.
I used 'Point Surf' by the SurfTeens as my starting point but the wave took it's own course. 2 guitars and my '65 Gibson Invader RVT amp for the verb. Opening song for my imaginary Ohio themed instro album.
Find it in the "Music" catagory.

Is it posted on sg101, linked here, or on YouTube? Thanks! Of course, I'm stuck using a tablet right now, so nothing looks or works the way I expect.

It's in the download section here on SG101, you should easily be able to find it by using the search function.
It's a nice little song actually. The playing seems a little sloppy, but that impression probably just comes from the idea of having two guitars play the melody. Don't know if that was intentional, but I would try to replace one of the lead guitars with something more rhythmic. But besides that: nice song, as said.

Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio. This song reminds me so much of being at places like this when I was young. It's got the frenetic energy we had back then, racing from roller-coaster to roller-coaster, and riding the Tilt-a-Whirl 'till we dropped. It really takes me back to those days.

And that's my style- sloppy! It was and executive call- I planned and recorded the song as a power trio guitar bass and drums line up but then I couldn't decide which version to go with and then- SHAZAM! let's hear them both together and... I liked it.
I might try something different but for now, there tis! Thanks for the feedback (musical analogy).

Yes, sometimes things like this work. But I would never the less be interested in hearing a version with "just" one lead guitar...

As it so happens and thanks to you my German brother I am in process of re-recording with a rhythm guitar. And......... the horrible dirty truth about the leads..................... I used them both to help conceal mistakes!!! Plus it sounded cool!!!
I WILL record and record and record until I get a clean lead track. I swear this on Dick Dale's sparkley Strat. Amen.

Great, looking forward to it!
I know, where you're coming from, though. I can totally relate to the idea of trying to get everything down as fast as possible. The first take is not necessarily the best one, but it almost always has something special, that you don't quite get in subsequent attempts.

You know as I work on this it just keeps morphing- I sense a more 'Dick Dale' approach developing. As in- lets up the string gauge, switch to a strat style guitar and use fewer strings with a more percussive attack.
This weekend.

Good morning to all! I have a new version of this song available for your pleasure. 3 instruments, period. And one maniacal scream.
It's in the downloads under music. I think the link below will take you right to it.
As always, plug your ears.
Point Cedar SUPERCHARGED!

About the SUPERCHARGED version of Point Cedar, I like the rollercoaster-inspired scream and the frenzied, off balance sound and feel that very accurately conveys the body tossing excitement of Cedar Point's thrill rides.
But I admit I kinda miss the rhythm guitar.
