A lot of surf bands played there. Joel I remember it well. In my teens I used to hang out front & listen because I wasn't old enough to get in. Just about everyone but the Beatles played there. Of course once I was old enough to get in I was too busy working to go. I 8 blocks away from it. presently I live less than a mile from where it used to be. Sundays concert will be across the street from where it used to be. The people who hold the rights to the Golden Bear have expressed a desire to open it again at a new shopping center a few bocks aeay on PCH that is now under construction. Top

There was nothing I liked better than seeing a couple of girls tooling around town on one while they were wearing poddle skirts!! No helmets and such.
