Can anyone recommend a good power supply for assorted pedals ? I have always been a battery guy but I have many pedals that I dont use much and arent worth keeping batteries in just IN CASE I may want to use them .
I dont have any 18 volt giant delays...just plain old 9 v effects but some need barrel ,some pin plug .

One spot works pretty good and comes with accessories for some of the non standard plugs. I've heard some folks complain of hum. But I've never had a problem with mine and I have florescent lights above mine.

Just bought one made by this company. I needed a variety of voltages and some had reverse polarity. So far works perfectly. They make several models depending on what you need. There is a list of retailers on their site. Not cheap but mine looks like it's very well made.

I had the PP2 long ago. Ended up giving it up as I've had such good luck with Godlyke PowerAlls. Using both the 5 output and 10 output version. Never any noise, never any problems at all.

+1 on the Voodoo Lab PP2
I also have an MXR DC Brick lying around somewhere, the 9v outputs on that are Ok but the two 18v outputs are useless to me. They introduce an annoying high-pitch noise in my chain when powering either my Topanga or Fulltone GT500...

Just bought a Diago Power Station, very small and very powerfull (up to 30 pedals!). Love it! And it costs less than the half of a Voodoo Lab PP2 and guaranteed humfree!

The difference is that these power supplies don't have isolated outputs.
You have to daisy chain your pedals and this might lead to a situation where 2 pedals don't like to interact with each other, causing the strangest noises. While it usually shouldn't be a problem, I personally don't want to take any risk here. That's why I decided to get a PP2+. I also plug all my equipment into a Furman Power Conditioner just to be sure there will be no disturbing noises (I am thinking of open air gigs where everything is hooked up to a power generator). With this combination everything is safe.
I know it is quite pricey, but hey, we pay large amounts for our gear, so why not spend that extra cash on safety?!

You could have bought a Line 6 dc3g for $39. Same thing as that Diago.
I don't know how anyone could guarantee him free without knowing in advance what you might plug into it. Hum/hiss/noise is a "system" problem and not confined to a single piece I that system.

I used SmrčkaEfects 8x10v, because they make isolated sources, so there is no noise (which can arise by common grounding), but it's bigger than other multi-power supply. It's best power-supply (in my opinion).
Now I play on Line6 M13 (with Fulltone Fulldrive 2 and MXR doubleshoot distortion) so I sold it with my pedals.
But they are from Czech Republic, so I don't know If they sending to US.
