Found the thread — it was a Weber Chicago 15" though, not a Michigan.

THANK you. Worship I just knew I intended to lose that brain cell.
A Chicago would be good for a guy in.....

Looking in back of the amp with a ruled t-square I measured clearance that limits speaker choices. The 112 Sixty-Five that has 2xEL34 and a 12AX7 has the the Power transformer smack-dab in the middle of the chassis at only 4.5" from the baffle and hanging down to within 3" of the center of a speaker's back. Thus many heavy-duty ceramics won't fit under it. The OEM driver was, I beleive an Eminence AlNiCo with a large 'staple'shaped cover. that cleared the trannie easily.
I wonder if an EVM12L would fit that space, unless the magnet is really shallow. Leaning toward a Neodymium speaker for this reason now, unless I can find something like the OEM driver.

If folks here know of specific speakers that fit the MM that has this central trannie above the speaker magnet, let me know it'll work.

That DV Mark speaker looks curiously like Eminence's Lil Texas.

According to the specifications listed here (http://www.music-man.com/amps.html) the reissue Music Mans all use this speaker: 12" DV Mark Neoclassic.

Interesting. There's a line of cabs using these speakers. http://www.dvmark.it/product_detail.php?id=65
